Atom is a powerful text editor for Linux. The new version of Atom 1.0 is now available. Ubuntu users can install Atom 1.0 via PPA repository provided by Webupd8 team. Atom 1.0 supports almost any Ubuntu version and Ubuntu derivatives such as Linux Mint, Linux Lite, Pinguy OS, Elementary OS and so on.
Atom 1.0 PPA Repository
To add the PPA, execute the following commands on Terminal
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/atom
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install atom
